Management isn't the only one with bills to pay and obligations to meet. The frac lifestyle is a difficult one and that has to be figured into the equation, as well. Clearly, it is better for all involved if the pilots are confident their families needs are met while they're away. Stressed out pilots worrying how to make ends meet aren't in the best frame of mind to concentrate solely on the job, nor are they motivated to go the extra mile. Management's respect (or lack thereof) will be reflected in a TA which I am sure the Options pilots will give the full consideration it is due. Needless to say, the closer it comes to meeting the industry standard the more attention it will receive.
Hang in there guys!
NJW

2008 has been a rough year in aviation.

United will furlough 950 pilots.

Northwest cuts salaries by $358 million dollars.

Continental eliminates 3000 positions and cuts salaries by $300 million dollars.

AirTran issues between 5% and 13% pay cuts to its employees.

American plans to cut capacity by up to 12% and furlough pilots.

Sun Country furloughs 30% of its pilots.

Frontier files for Chapter 11.

Aloha files for Chapter 11.

Skybus closes its doors.

ATA closes its doors.

The worst is saved for last,

Flight Options offers up to 35% pay raises and the 1108 negotiators (the same guys that tried to steal money from NJA) have refused it.

What are we doing here people? We need to take a stand! We should have been given the chance to vote on the companies offer.

another MGMT pilot on FI...This happened alot when NJA was going thru contract stuff. Probably some middle manager...

Very likely. They all read the same playbook... Union-Busting 101. They must pass out huge blinders in class to get guys to ignore the fact that organizing your collective efforts and working under a contract are legally protected rights...world-wide, no less. The tricks of their billion-dollar trade can be learned in Confessions of a Union Buster by Martin Levitt.

I've taken my stand. I stopped paying my dues after I saw the company package and discovered the 1108 refused it. I know I may be alone on this site, but I know I'm not the only one to stop paying dues. This is not the economy to play hard ball in.

:puke:RUPERT
Your a ****************************** bag and lucky you can maintain you aminimity. Also, you have no integrity and would sell your soul for 30 peices of silver. Go back and hide in your hole.

The disgusting part is that he wants to sell out--not just himself--but all of his fellow pilots and the family members, too... Cougar, you've done well to send him back to his hole. He sounds like a real snake in the grass. We saw those types, too, while the NJ pilots were at the bargaining table. Don't be surprised if you don't hear a hiss out of him after you get a fair contract...

Good luck to you Flop guys. I hope you set a new industry standard, you deserve it!
How many pilots does FLOPS have now?

I wish we could screen guys like this.

Rupert (rude prick)

"I stopped paying my dues after I saw the company package and discovered the 1108 refused it".

This rupert type guys is the type that probably already has his app in at Netjets.

(not actually rupert because we think he's a managment troll)

It's to bad we can't screen these guys to see if they are dues paying members before we hire them.

He will be happy to take any gains fought for by the union members.

It is just so foul.

On another note. These accusations that we tried to steal FO funds?

Where did the money come from? Netjets pilots!

I promise you if NJASAP said we needed money. The pilots would be tripping over each other to donate money to feed our cause. This would be on top of the dues.

People like rupert are the reason this country is in the shape its in.

As Freedom said "Freedom isn't free". I think Freedom is way out of line with his accusations, but I would be happy to fly with him because he is in the fight for a batter life.

Rupert however, is a leech, and a person of the lowest order. Jerk!

I guess you didn't read the way these people think before you posted anything that went against them. You see, they are not capable of thinking about two sides of the issue. In fact, they don't even acknowledge that there is another side. So what you get, like me, is immediate gunfire responses against you personally instead of something regarding the content of your post. Also, some ways they rate credibility is how many posts you have and how long you've been a member to name a few. But even someone here with 500 posts and a member since '03 will be deemed "not credible" if they post anti-union ideas.
Nice try though, and I also had a similar question to your initial post, but no answers will be found here.

Now watch as they attack me again, not knowing that I'm watching over their shoulders...

Which one of Bob T and company are you? There's a difference between anti union and FUD. You promote the FUD.

BTW; I couldn't care less about your "FlightInfo Seniority". It certainly doesn't add to your credibility.
