New guy here.

Did a search on Jetblue and found some great info. Great forum. Would take any other info on the company. Sounds like a great place to work! What are my chances for a future interview? Not great I think.

Civilian background: CFI to Freightdog to Regional Captain.
Currently (overpaid?) CL-65 Captain @ Comair

Thanks in advance!

Get at least 1000 PIC jet and I think you'll be in better shape - seems to be the minimum nowadays...

Good luck

I agree with Heavy Set. Get at least 1000 hours in the left seat of the RJ and you'll be looking much better.

Also, update your application every month. I don't think frequent updating is a "silver bullet", but it seems to help. If you know anyone at JB, ask them to write an internal LOR for you. It could make a difference in getting the invitation to interview, although I have no proof of this. :D

Bluewanabe,

Doing the math it looks like you had 1550 SIC at Comair before your upgraded to CL65 captain, unless you had some jet time somwhere elso. That means about 1.5 years in the right seat before upgrade. I thought Comair upgrades were slower?

Check Six

Comair upgrades are slower. More like 3 1/2 to 4 yrs. An OK Line for a CL-65 Captain is around 5 1/2 to 6 yrs. My DOH is 4-27-00. I was senior reserve for a while and the 89day strike slowed down my hours. Now that I'm junior reserve again(bottom 20) I'll start flying more. Question is will we continue to get A/C in the future. This may slow down along with upgrades. It's all up in the air right now.

Hope this helps.
