I'm a furloughed NWA pilot who has just been hired with a 135 charter shop. They provide a valid ID with picture. Are there any airlines that allow jumpseat to 135 carriers that are "not on the list?"

Baja.

Active List:

1) Airtran
2) ATA

We take everyone with the proper credentials. 135,121,125, First guy free.. after that.. luck of the draw..offline 25 dollar pass. Please stop by to flight deck . The agent will list you and assign a seat assignment, hand you a 'boarding pass'. But please stop by . Welcome. Please dont use it to move aircraft for your boss. obviously... Good luck.

For whom do you work ???

AirTran... Good place.. nice folks... Sorry... I changed my Avtar..

We do have a list of approved agreements. Long list.. The proper channel Baja is to have your outfit added to our list if possible.. but off the record, the ride shouldnt be a problem.. maybe others have better intel.. but this is the way I see it. Good Luck.. Happy contrails...

135 pilot here, also. We don't have any agreements. How do you get past the TSA and the gate agents to ask the crew for a ride if you're not on the list?

Boris - Go to the check-in counter and ask for jumpseat and show all your Id's. They should provide info to get through TSA goons....

Yes, to the best of my knowledge they have no reciprocal list and have an open jumpseat for 135/121 carriers.

Is that the same for AirTran? Anyone have a non-rev phone number for them??

I worked for a 135 airline for a short time. I was lucky because they had agreements that were years old with the likes of NW, AA, America West, etc. The best and easiest way is to get a hold of the jumpseat coordinator and set up a formal agreement. It's so much easier when your company is on the list officially. A lot less stress also. American always treated me like a king even though they knew I was offline. Highly recommend getting on their list.

Is this policy the case even for your home-grown 135 operator who operates a King Air across the field?

To clarify, you may be able to ride on AirTran provided that you can talk to the crew. Some Captains will allow 135 pilots, others will not unless there is a formal agreement in place. It just depends on their background, how they feel that day, or how you act. Gate agents are supposed to check to see if you are on the approved list before sending you down to the plane though.

Correction- 25 dollar SCAM.

And don't waste your time begging for a seat after you've already purchased your discount ticket. If you get any shiit then ask for a refund and delay the flight.

Pardon me, but do 135 pilots have to go through any kind of background checks? The bad guys are still out there testing our defenses, and here we are telling people how to get on an airplane without reciprocal agreements. Seems like a good way to sneak yourself onto an airliner without showing up on the TSA watch list.

:(

Seahorse.. Well.. not sure what to say.. sorry so angry man.

There would be no delay... However, You may be detained by the local police due to your unprofessional antics on the aircraft.

I have never witnessed a pass fee charged... get over it. The pilots want it gone.... however, it rarely gets used... If you were charged .. PM me with the date, flight, and reciept attached to an EMail .. I will gladly send you 25 bucks .. Sincerely... MNBOYEV.

I know NWA pilots who would write a 'pass' back in the day (15bucks). So an offline could get on.. much appreciated !! What goes around, comes around. I am happy to return your dough.. AirTran is an airline with good folks. get over it ... the employees are not management.
