Never count out Peyton Manning and that offense.

I can't believe Troy's INT was ruled an incompletion "upon further review"

I can't believe the Bus fumbles at Indy's 2

I psyched that Big Ben made the most impressive tackle of his career.

Can't believe that Vanderjact missed from 46 (especially that far tp the right).

Go Steelers!!!!!!!!

I think it'll take me awhile to calm down after this one.

Tony Dungy is a class guy, and that team is unbelievable, and the Steelers are lucky to be moving on, especially when you let a great team hang around.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo mother F*&^*$ STEELERS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im so pumped I feel like having a permanti sandwich

Steelers, Schmeelers

As a die hard Colts fan, I'll admit that things were looking pretty grim in the beginning. I thought the Colts had it when they forced the fumble near the end zone, but no one expected Vanderjagt's kick to go awry. Honestly, that suprised (and disappointed) the living hell out of me.:crying:

Buuuttt......as much as I hate to say it, Pittsburgh is a great team who has their act together and today's game showed it. Ten years ago nearly to this day, Indy lost to Pitt in the AFC championship (Jan.'96). Almost seems as if history has repeated itself. Kinda scary.

Just remember, there's always next season!!!
GO COLTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now I can go and seek comfort from a nice, friendly companion who will love me no matter what............Budwieser. Today, I was either going to drink to celebrate or drown my sorrows. Oh, hell, one way or another, I still have a valid reason to tip my frosty mug!!!

Good luck to all of the other teams still in the race for Detroit!!!!!!!
See you all in the fall!!:D

Schmooze

Congrats Steelers

As a lifelong Steelers fan but an Indy resident I must say I was torn but wanted Peyton to get it done. I must say, though, that Bill had his team ready. Well done Pitt. Great gameplan and great execution. After the overturned INT I'm glad it ended the way it did. Hopefully there will be some changes in the coaching staff at Indy in the offseason. All that talent and you can't figure that Pitt will come at you like San Diego??? Something needs to give. 3 years in a row that our staff (minus Dungy of course) hasn't gotten the job done. Players got to play, but adjustments need to be made. PLEASE make it to the Bowl Steelers!

What about the Chiefs?

Congrats Bill! The Steelers looked tough. I was gonna call you but thought you might drop the phone..LOL!!

Denver is next....

That game, particularly the fourth quarter, took years off my life. Holy crap!

That was a crappy call (interception reversal).
The Bus NEVER fumbles (almost).
Outstanding tackle by R aljadsflkajsdlf berger.
It's wide right! Was that Ray Finkle?

Nice playing all in all. Breezing through the regular season may not be all that good for a team - as the Steelers found out last year.

I was rootin' for Tony Dungee & Peyton.

But hey- PIT has Tony P.....one of THE BEST players in the NFL. His "pick" WAS an interception. He's amazing. Not to mention the 'Bus.

PIT outplayed IND...even in the end.....too bad they shanked the kick.

Dont worry. The steelers always blow it when it counts. But the pats aren't there to hand Pittsburgh their annual playoff butt whooping, so I guess they have a chance. Slim as it may be.

Whew!

Indy was simply outplayed. I would have been horrified if Pittsburgh lost due to the fumble by Bettis- a heck of a way for such a class act to end the season- and possibly his career.

But, in the end, it went the way it should have.

Anyone care to comment on the bizarre pass interference calls/failures to call the last couple of days? Asante Samuel got completely robbed yesterday and a receiver basically got mugged today in the Pitt/Indy game with no call. What's up with that?

Once again, Manning can't win the big one.

GO PITTSBURGH!

Da Browns gonna WHUP dem steelers next week!!!!

oh, wait... :(

I would hate to have to take my medical this week. My BP was at an unhealthy level today.

The refs did all they could to win it for Indy (Troys Palamalalauuu's int, Randle El's no call pass interference, Indy offsides "do over"). That would of sucked if PITT lost after dominating most of the game.

I know the Stillers usually blow the AFC Championship game, but they have a look in their eye and are peaking at the right time. Maybe this year.

Any idea what the Pats are going to be doing next week. 2001, fate was on their side, 2004 they were better than the Steelers. In any case, the Steelers are still playing while the Pats are home.

I'm gonna go dahn an drink an Iron an have a Permanti sammich. Yinz guys all need an Iron.

Re: Patriots

Look, I'm sorry, BUT IT WAS A FUMBLE!!!!!!!!!!

Look what was started by a bad call!!!!

BTW, forgot about Indy's false start "do over." Man, were those officials sleeping or what? Where's Ed Hochuli when you need him? Prolly in the gym building up those guns.

One of those "My market's bigger than your market" Ref jobs? NFL needs that cash flow, but the Steel City slapped them like Joan Crawford after a 2 day fist fu*king at Jimmys.

BIG BEN GOD SENT!!!!!

KING OF THE ROAD!!!!!

Is there anyway they both can lose? Alright guys, just giving you some friendly ribbing. My hats off to both teams. Pittsburgh is right up there at the top of their division and competing year after year. Its very impressive. They have a faithful and sometimes classless following, but its still an impressive organization. And Denver is as well a coached team as there is. I still don't think Jake the Snake is the answer, but if they keep getting turnovers and running the ball, he will not need to be. Especially if they have the same officiating crew ;) But thats how it goes. The pats run had a lot of balls bounce their way, and a lot of calls go their way. In any event should be a great game. And don't be suprised to see the pats right back in it next year.

Sorry if I stepped on any steelers fans toes, i'm just not used to the pats losing in the postseason.

No problem, Steelers fans are very sensitive about their team. Insult their wife, girlfriend or mother, and they will be upset. Insult the Steelers, and they just may go postal.

Bill,
I missed the whole thing, I was flying. My wife said it was very stressful. I was very surprised they were able to pressure Manning. They won that's all that matters. Glad Bettis' fumble wasn't the last thing fans will remember about him. Anything can happen from here on out. Im liking this underdog thing though.

Here we go Steelers, Here we go!

Blitzburgh rolls on!!!

......as lil' Payton Manning audiblizes his way to the golf course.

Jeez, poetic justice at its best. The NFL refs did their best to screw the Black and Gold, but good ol blue collar grit won out in the end. And what's up with the Colts trying to bite off on Myron's Terrible Towel? Anybody can bring a white towel to the game.

Wish I could have watched the game wit yins dahntann at Permanti's....or at the "Big O."

Somebody send me a case or two of Aarhn!! I'm stuck in MCO for the AFC Championship. Who dey?!? We dey!!

RM

All right yinz guys from dahntahn, Anyone have a sound bite of the Pittsburgh Steeler Polka? Used to hear that song every Sunday back in the late 70's & early 80's.....Ahh the memories

Oh yeah, I forgot the unbelievable coverage on Reggie Wayne by Bryant McFadden. What a great job of getting a hand on the ball and deflecting the potential game winner for Indy.

This is the second year in a row that the Steelers won a Divisional playoff because the opposition could not make a long field goal. Pretty much in those situations, that kick must seem 10 yards longer. Although many will give Tony Dungy a lot of credit for going for the win, 5-8 yards closer with the ball centered between the hashes could have made a big difference on that kick.

Hopefully, if Quadzilla has an opportunity like that, he'll come thru for my beloved Stillers.

Sorry you missed the game, Jay, I still am wound up about it. But, starting tomorrow, my focus is on PIT-DEN.

GO STEELERS!!!!!

'The panthers had a great rivalry brewing the steelers in the 90's let's get it on Detroit.... The playoffs favor the road teams this year. Don't give up the poionts for home field advantage
