I just joined the ranks of the Instrument rated today. Finally a year and a half after I opened my first instrument textbook.

I read in another post that gkrangers had his pvt ride srubbed today in NJ. Sorry to hear that. My ride today was in NJ too, fortunately, the weater was perfect for an instrument exam (1300 bkn)

As an added bonus, I can now change my to profile from <200 to >200. Woohoo!

See you in the clouds...(Doh!)

Congrats man

Congrats...mine was a good 1500 broken day....best day of my life (untill i get my comm's.) :P KEEP FLYING

hmm i did my IR in april of this year... still didn't get it after 3 months (** edit, the final license, that is)

congrats man. Just remember one thing. You have the instrument knowledge, but not the expirience. Alot of newbies feel that ovc002 or vv001 is good enough to attempt the ILS. Those minimums on the plates arent necessarily safe for people without the expirience. Do what you need to do but bring the mins up for a while until your very comfortable and profficient. Good luck, happy flying, and if I ever get back in a plane, Ill see you in the clouds. Actually gonna go fly a trip next week for my old company.
