Looking for some info on what Westwind captains are making, specifically west coast metro areas. Interested in both Pt 91 and 135 ops.

Thanks!

NE pay is about 65-70K, 91. 135 is probably somewhat lower. For the west coast, I'd say go up 10K

Hope this helps,
FF

In 2001-2002 I knew 3 Westwind Captain positions in the Northeast. Pay was 78K,90K,100K. Plus 2 had profit share/bonus - add 10-15K/yr.

But Westwinds are kind of bastard aircraft and Im sure the pay is all over the board now.

65 definitly sounds way low though...especially for LA. Can you move up from the Westwind quickly?, maybe an opportunity there....if not I would surely get more cash..they are farkin' ya at 65K...charging the owner 120K and dishing you 65K...seen it happen..

just an opinion.

Upgrade is fast, just wondering what others were making, so when the time comes there is some negotition both ways....not just one way..!

Anybody else got any numbers? If anyone has access to the latest NBAA Compensation survey and can look up a WW24 or similar a/c I'd appreciate it, maybe even send me an electronic copy that would be great.

Anybody think 65K is unreasonable for 135 operation (some 91) in LA?
No it's not unreasonable. The Westwind's a real bastard, a 23,000lb airplane that often pays like a Lear 24. Sure some 91 Westwind jobs might break 6 figures, but a lot of 135 gigs just give there underpaid Lear captains a small raise to fly it. Realistically take it especially if you can upgrade and get into something bigger on the certificate.

westwind pay

I,m a current Westwind captain flying part-135 . I,ve only been with this company 8 months but should make about 75 000 $ this year. I flew for an air ambulance company prior in westwinds making about the same
