Western U.S Freight

Can anyone provide some information on some freight carriers in the west? Any recommendations for a lower time guy meeting 135 mins?

If you are going to do the 135 freight
thing you need to have your stuff
together on the guages flying around
and in the mountains...especially out
west.

I work for AMF in PDX. Its a pretty good company. Bases are in BUR, PHX, OAK, PDX, SLC, SEA on the west coast.

Also up here is a company called Empire Air, they fly Caravans, but I dont know anything about them.

That depends where out west. If someone is near the coast or central valley of CA, Oregon or Wash, then yeah. But if in NV, AZ, NM, be prepared to get rusty...

I think South Aero in ABQ was hiring recently, C402s and 404s. They dont get you hotels though or any day accomodations. Aero Charter is also in ABQ with 310s and 402s too I think, but I have not heard the best things about them. I have not flown for either so others could give better info.

Ideally, I'm looking for something out of Arizona. Yeah, not much IFR out there. I did my instrument rating there, and couldn't get any actual wx. 50 hours of simulated. It wasn't until I got to Alabama that I could get any actual.
