We can get an NPRM for age 60-65 0ut there but you guys don't think its important enough to get one for the friggin 8 hour overnights. Good jaaab guys with hot avatars. Your life is really meaningful! I SALUTE you! Brotherhood man! Good job!

Wow... were you drunk when you wrote this post? Your command of the English language is admirable. I’m not sure if I agree with what you’re saying or not, simply because it’s about as coherent as Flava-Flave.

No response, since it appears that you might me a terrorist ******************** you. Go back to your country! Go sing songs at a post jerkhead.

Yaya, where you are? Sounds like you need someone to buy you a beer! Or maybe some exlax or something. Dang girl, chill out! It's just flyfo!

This isn't the "return of Lollie" or something is it?

BTW, you don't have time to be messing around on the internet if you're on an 8 hr overnight...or a beer for that matter!

Thanks Yaya. It's about high time someone took notice of our hard work.
I SALUTE you!
And a BIG Thumbs up back at ya...CHAMP!
Brotherhood man! Good job!
Amen, good buddy....er, BROTHER! Pats on the back all around, everybody!!!

I was just ranting a little. Isn't that what this forum is for? I just don't understands why increasing the age to 60 is more important than the glaring problems with all of our industry average problems. I worked 14 hours yesterday with only two hours of pay. Granted, we had wx and a tiny mechanical problem....

Yes...yes it is. Continue said rant (I think you do have a point, though)

I got a beer. Is everybody happy?

Yeah, well, I don't know about happy (I spent yesterday trying to get lined up for a oh dark stupid departure, now I'm going in the afternoon) but I was going to compliment your new avitar!

Mainline operations often have duty rigs that usually keep them from pushing on the regulatory limit on duty and rest. I don't know that any of the regionals have anything like that now. My understanding is that CC Air had a rig that if they did a CDO they got 8 hrs of flt pay. As a result they didn't do them because it was too expensive for the company. Mesa put an end to that.

I don't know where you work or where you are on the seniority list but as you move up it should get some better. If your outfit is about to go into contract negotiations a good thing to put on the table would be some better work rules!

Thanks, my happy beer.

I am in a pretty good position on the list. Its not about my airline, its about the whole industry. If you look at it from an outsiders perspective, our workrules are absurd. Companies have really tapped into human nature when negotiating these things. Here we are, 27 years after deregulation and working for a fraction of the salary on practicly no sleep. Even the majors are working on 1/2 of the salary that it used to be in the 70's.

Yeah, I can't figure it out. They are all well financed though , at least the ones my airline hires.

How the heck do they figure they are going to pay back the $50, 000 for the ratings with the regional payscales? It's going to be at least three years before they make any money after upgrading. Then, by year six they are used to making $70 or $80 K/yr and can't afford the first year pay at even UPS, let alone anyone else!

um. how do you suggest I get a new contract?
There lies the discouraging part. You have to go talk with your Union representation. Now...not to imply the Union reps are bad people by nature, but as we all know, talk is comprised of very little substance. As such, it can become very difficult to get ideas onto paper and action to follow. Typically the whole process gets all tied up with red tape...then it all slows down to a grinding halt. Before you know it, your idea is continuously getting shuffled to the bottom of a 3 foot stack of papers by requests for Payraises to the Union Reps. Have another beer;)
