Yup, and their rep has already started to make extravagant promises. We shall see what they ACTUALLY deliver. The JCBA as well as current enforcement of BOTH contracts will be the true test.

Could you share even one of these "extravagant" promises? This sounds more like flame bait or simply an outright lie.

Having worked for 3 air carriers that were TWU - I can attest as to how worthless they were to dispatchers.

Having ran the Will Dispatch For Food website, and having seen how the TWU represented offices compared in terms of overall quality of contract to other non-TWU offices, I can attest of the lack of deficiencies in terms of pay, vacation accrual, etc. On average based on industry segment (regional, major, etc) the average TWU shop never met the industry average segment for pay alone - and always scored below average (about 5-8% if memory serves, wish I still had my analysis).

The TWU may be fine for bus drivers, but not dispatchers.

The only shop where TWU pay lead was UPS for industry segment.

TWU may have won the battle but the war is not over. There is more than one way to skin a cat. Now we ae just going to have to do it the long way....

It's going to be a hell of a ride.

I know off topic, but speaking of another TWU/PAFCA battle, hows that United/Continental talk going? Haven t heard much out there information wise?

(maybe new thread worthy?)

Speaking to SP.....

Nope, chum.....word around the office from many, many TWU members is that they were told to expect a top out of 80K on the JCBA.

If you didn't tell them to expect this....well, you better tell them what you DO expect....And if you DID tell them this....well, God help you!!! Because they won't be happy when you bring back....less....

And you need to find out why you profess to not knowing that this is the talk in the OCC....

Just saying...you work for the members now....Your job is to serve
