I get all the notices of replies in my email. Today when I clicked on the link in the email, I got this message "The path 'newpost' does not exist or is not a directory"
Anyone ever have this happen to them? and know to fix it?
it's more of an e-mail configuration problem than a computer problem
try going into preferrences and/or settings and see if you can change it so that you don't get these replies
... into the email it sends, and when you click it it sends the argument back to the bulletin board so that when the thread opens it goes immediately to the newest post. So when your packet went looking for the argument on the link ithe BB server didn't resolve it correctly. Just a hiccup more than likely.
I know it is computer related, not software based. The links worked prior to yesterday. Seems like a Internet explorer problem to me. I am using IE6.
When I click on the link it opens an explorer window and then hangs for a few seconds and then spit the dialog box at me. The dialog box has a title of "Windows Explorer". I believe it is looking for the protocol that handles hyperlinks but instead of looking for a internet link it is looking for a file or directory in the computer.
