TSA management told the union that the reason behind giving pilots minimum notice to furloughs was........"we feel the current attitude of the line pilot is to do minimum, so we feel minimum is all that is required of us." What a Sh*tty management team. Did you ever here the phrase...Lead By Example. And how the hell can they assess the attitude of the line pilot. We go to work and go home. What could they be possibly talking about. maybe i should help the sh*t hole ramp hook up the tug too.

Also, "more furloughs maybe as early as september due to J41 flying gone and reduction in SAT flying." Just say it A**holes......Gayjet has 35 more planes on order and we are giving your flying to them because we are pieces of Sh*t and they are scab scumbags willing to take it.

One other thing, i noticed the GayJet MEC chairman is a former TSA Flight Manager. What's the plan? Have this guy sign a sh*tty contract then give him a job in management once the damage is done. You guys at GayJet are F*cking Retards.

When they say do minimum, do jus that. Call for gas once, bags, etc. Then just wait. I know if they keep up their lousy performance, AMR will have had enough of them. I know it only took DL 2 years of lousy perf to dump them! Maybe US Air will also tell them to pound sand! Stick it to em!

I'm not seeing many replies from the Gayjet folks recently. Maybe they are starting to realize that what happens at Trans States will also be their picnic lunch too.
 
Why should you guys have to call for fuel, bags, etcetera even ONCE. Don't call at all. Why should you have to do everyone else's job, motivate all the other employee groups, etc.? Do your job per your operations manual and the FARs. When TSA starts paying you to do everyone else's job, then go ahead and do it.
 
Ways to give Trans States the minimum...hummmm...don't hustle to be on time. don't call in mx discrepancy till the gate agents want to board. don't call to check in for trips-let them worry and hunt you down. what else- oh yeah, use a pay phone. these are just a few. if they really want the minimum.........maybe they want to to perform poorly so it will give them an excuse to give ALL the flying to FAG/GAYjets.
 
I for one will not be doing anything other than what's required of me by the FAR's and SOP. Anything that gets me home to my family... consider it done. Anything that might help out the company... consider it someone elses problem. "But if we don't do the right thing, they will give our flying away" Well burn this mutha down cuz GoJets is gettin it all anyways!!! 613KA... not re-doubling my efforts... just doing the bare minimum from here on out.

Probably one of the worst answers to a question I have ever heard in 9 years at TSA! I kinda cared, but after an answer like that and how mgmt views it's employees , its clear that they have no clue what is going on. How pathetic to have MGMT tell me I'm giving the minimum. If they can do better they are more than welcome to return to the line and attempt to do my job better that I. WTF more do they want me to do? Seriously! How many more ways is there to do my job?

Again, this answer is second only to the COO quote said in public ," our pilots are a liability."

The sad thing is they think we give the minimum now. Anyone else notice the on time percentage for JUNE? Let's recap shall we:

Just keep a big stack of trip reports for writing the truth about all the late departures once the flight managers start calling. That retarded remark from management will hopefully haunt the hell out of them once the pilot group decides to show them what minimum effort really is. If they are gonna take the airline apart anyway, it might as well hurt the corprate pocket book the max possible on the way out. Good luck TSA pilots, I really hope you make that management scum pay for their stupidity.
 
I just think it's funny that they are jabbing at the new guys who usually have the better attitude about the company, but then again it doesn't take long to turn a hard working guy with a positive attitude into just doing the "minimum". One work over by scheduling after doing them "a favor" was enough for me. Unbelievable
 
Be late at Trans States. Don't bother with trip reports. That's too much effort. Remember to 'DO THE MINIMUM' That's what they expect. Ignore the Acars messages, let FM call you but don't call them back. They do not have extensions off the 800 number. DO THE MINIMUM. That's a great new motto.
 
That really was a truly infuriating thing to say. I periodically think that they have gone as far as they can go but I have been wrong every time. What's next?
 
I was told that the statement was made by TSA's VP of Legal Affairs and that now the Director of Operations is pissed because he says that the VP of Legal Affairs does not speak for the flight ops department. He has asked the union to change or remove the message.

On a more serious note, these guys actually seem to believe in the philosophy of "the beatings will continue until morale improves!" It would funny if it wasn't true!

I started out two years ago on reserve, and now I am bidding my last month and will be holding a reserve line again thanks to the flying being transferred to Gayjets. Thanks Gayjet guys! Glad I'm out of here! Great pilots, but the atmosphere is terrible now!:(

Guys, I rarely chime in ,but now im pissed. Mgmt needs an elbow in the face....give it to them. My company is right near the bottom also...but geez. I dont know what else to say...... good luck guys.

That such a pathetic, self-serving, employee indifferent enterprise could still be in operation after all these years with the same toxic management is both a statement of the pitifull state of the industry and the lengths one will whore oneself out just to have a flying job.

The upper management of Trans States Airlines are the saddest example of a human being I have ever personally met. I worked there for a year around 10 years ago and promptly got out.

I am truly sorry for anyone stuck flying there.
 
I AS A TSA PILOT PROUDLY DO THE MINIMUM!! WHY?! SOME MAY ASK?

In my 40 plus years of life I have worked many jobs, some compensated fairly and some did not. The ones that I feel proud of, returned my efforts with some sort of a "thank you"!! Compensation comes in many forms!

1. Grouth

2. Pay

3. Bonus

4. Lunch

5. A SIMPLE THANK YOU FOR A JOB WELL DONE!

6. Respect

Should I continue? I think you all get the idea. One of the hardest things to do as a "good employee" is to do the minimum! I for one find it difficult, BUT NOT AT TSA!!!!!!! the total lack of respect and the attitude of the managment has made me DO AS LITTLE AS I CAN!! If TSA management wants their employees to do "MORE" then they should do what's right!! Start by following our contract!! TSAQ mgnt. signed it, so f*cking follow it!! Do what the national mediation board "told" you(ie TSA mgnt.) to do and hire back the employees that you illegally fired!! Stop writing memos that portray your lack of respect for this pilot group, after all you hired us!! Stop punishing us like we are in first grade!, ie I'm not talking to you any more!!

I ASK TSA MANAGMENT IF YOU WANT US TO DO MORE THEN AT LEAST DO YOUR JOB!!!

Any truth to the rumor that we don't have crews for some flights and they are canceled due to "maintenance, weather or other reasons"? So the ivory tower is not letting the truth be known?
 
You boys should make a subtle statement and not show up at all for their stupid f++king BBQ. Let those stupid b+stards stand out there over the hot coals cooking for no one.

It was always difficult working at TSA, but the people I worked with made it tolerable. I hope you guys make fat boy pay for such a venomous statement. Do the absolute minimum required and use up you sick time when it will hurt them the most.
