check it out, boy if I had won the lotto, I would have P-3 in my hangar. I even have 921 (151385) in my logbook ex VP-93 bird

Buffalo Joe McBryan might be a buyer. He needs P-3s to expand his ultra-modern jet-prop Electra operation.
 
All of those things are parked 200 yards from where I am sitting right now. They are in pretty sad shape. This last year has been real hard for them. The last time the fleet was up for auction, AU wanted almost 7 mil a copy... 50 mil for the fleet.
 
Engines and props are probably most of the value of the airplanes, then they could pick up the Electra Hulks here at KYIP and reengine them.
 
I would only consider a new one!
Actually Lockheed is re-winging the older P-3's back to new Specs and selling them to countries around the world. If you want to fly around waters next to your country to see what is going on, there is no airplane that will do it like the P-3
