First off, you can't take an 8410 check ride unless you are on someones certificate. It's the chicken or the egg thing. Second, the insurance companys have our cajones in a vise and will only accept factory or approved sim school. Now, if you flew 200 hours or more in the last 12 months as SIC in Learjet, you can go to Sim City and do it for $7500 for a 6 day upgrade... pretty intense if you are behind on systems.
