Does anyone know if ERAU has a new course for VLJ (very light jet) aircraft? I saw their name on a website vljpilottraining.com. I have heard that low time pilots will be able to fly these jets.

Never rule out the insurance company. Even with an owner that wanted me on the policy its tough to get insured. With 1k+ TT lots of instrument night xc ect it is tough to get qualified on any aircraft. The insurance company still wanted me to have 50 hours in type and the insurance course from flight safety. That was for a Cessna Caravan not exaclty a jet. For a Pilatus PC-12 its 100 hours in type. A jet, even if it is a light one, poses loads of problems for a low time pilot and the insurance providers know it. The first accident that happens with a VLJ the minimums will skyrocket even if they are too high to start with.
