I had esotropia (my right eye crossed in). I had it correected when I was ten. I have perfect vision in each eye. My vision is "fused" together. My visual accuity was never messed with. After reading those statements, answer me this: Will the military let me be a pilot?
 
Not sure but try this...

Present tropias (eso-, exo-, hyper-, hypo-) are immediate DQs.

I don't know how they feel if the problem has been surgically corrected. Check out the AF regs: AFI48-123 Appendix 7 is the USAF Reference. You can get it off the AF Pubs website.

You might be in luck with the USN. In '99 I put in a pilot who'd had the same deal as a kid. He had to produce just about EVERY medical document from his procedures/followups/etc. Now THAT took a long time for him to gather and even LONGER for the board to review and come back approved.
