It’s actually pretty funny if you have some insight on the airlines. The flight attendant scores low on a regulations test and is horrified to find out she will have to work the ‘Express’ carrier where the wings fall off the airplane. The company insists they are the ‘same family.’

I second that....Don't waste your money. It's one of those films where the funny stuff in the previews is all you'll see in the entire movie.

Another funny things that most pilots will pick up on is the sounds they use. When they showed the E120 landing they played a piston engine c152 type engine sounds. My girlfriend has almost refused to go to any movie with me anymore that has an airplane in it b/c surely ill find something wrong with it.

Just saw the movie today and thought it was kind of cute! It made me almost want to give up on flying and become an FA, but I dont think I could tease my hair that high! But it definitely exagerates the bimbo factor for FA's!
Mike Myers was adorable, as always!

Didn't the exterior shots during "Airplane!" feature the sound of a B-17 instead of jet engines?

I know I heard radials...

They were definitely prop engines, Timebuilder. Dunno enough about the old radials to identify it further, though.

I needed to score some points to bail my dumb @ss out from some stupid thing I did the week before, so I took her to see, "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days". I left the theater thinking that I'll never get that 2 hours of my life back, while my gf was saying, "I HAVE to get that on DVD!!! It was so CUTE!!!" Sheeeesh. Women.

And aviatrix...how about your Cats versus my Horns in the NCAA champ game? I want a rematch!!!

Ah yes, so very early in the season! Their third game or so! It's been so long ago, I had nearly forgotten!
Perhaps a rematch in the championship game?!?
I've had several friends who have gone to UT! Unfortunately, that bell tower gives me the creeps every time I see it!

Yeah, the Express part was hillarious. The whole flick was exaggerated and it's GREAT!
Who cares whether it's "realistic" or not? This movie was a hillarious flick on account of flight attendants. If you want to see "realistic" - go to work. Same thing with "Airplane" - who cares whether it's radial engines, turboprop sounding engines, etc. All I care about is the inflatable autopilot feeling up the flight attendant..

The only part of View from the top that was hokey was the very end... in the captain's seat.
