Sporty's - getting silly?

Is it just me or has Sporty's really reached new peaks with silliness with some of their videos? This admitedly (sp?) may have been on the market for awhile, I just never noticed them.

Some of these topics are available via FREE FAA produced videos on the same topic (runway incursions, etc)

It also seems like the general aviation Cessna 172 driver at the local airport loves to gobble up videos based on "real airline pilot" commentary....

"How an Airline Captain Should Look and Act" should probably be required for upgrade at some of the regionals in the next few years.

lol "the landing pattern computer" Those have been around for a while. I remember laughing my ass off the first time I seen one of those. Classic

The wrist notepad kills me....somehow I envision that thing causing accidents as some gadget crazy pilot gets in a wreck (or perhaps busts airspace) because he's too focused on trying to cycle the paper

I wonder how much of that crap gets bought by non-pilots as gifts for those that do fly?

Everything that Hal Shevers sells is absolute overpriced garbage. That poor excuse for a human being does not seserve your money, or anyone else's for that matter.

Buy from John and Martha, they need therapist money.

Not sure it was just them. One guy who pretends to be an FAA examiner in one of their videos went through a bit of an operation afterwards, and I guess is now an examinatrix.

Say what you will about some of the silly junk they sell (hello cloud level sight!) but they're a stand-up company. My friend got his flight bag stolen from his car and they replaced the radio he had just bought from them!
