That was pretty cool! Are those Mirage III fighters?

If that's both of the Swedish fighter planes flying around in the video, I'm going to have to go have another Pilsner Erquell...thank's alot. :D

nice choice.... have you ever been to Plzen?
No, but I hear through the grapevine that if buy another 12 pack, they are going to name a street after me.

I think those are Saab Gripens, but the markings on the planes looks like Swiss Air Force and I thought the Swiss only flew F-18s and F-20s.

Is that mountain they climb towards the end the Matterhorn? Sweeeet!

Nice flight. I wonder if those guys thought about wires?

The name of the group is "ERA", and the name of the song is "Enae Volare Mezzo"

Gooday.
THANKS!!!! I was looking for that too.

BTW Pilsner Urquell is one of the best there is IMO right next to the Czech Budweiser. Publix has Pilsner btw.

yea.. if you get the chance.. go to plzen and take a tour of the historic brewery. pretty neat, plus you get to sample some PU "off the line".

WOW, That was a good movie, and Thanks Captain Xilo that song is really good. And Eagle RJ I think your right about the F-18 And F-20, possibly the a/c were their opp 4's.

Supposedly there is a video from an IR camera on a fighter jet(might be a trainer) on a night flight. The jet is clocking by at a pretty good pace when it narrowly misses some type of piston single coming opposite direction. The only remarks made by the jet crew is something like "Did you just see something?" Does anybody know if this happened and the video exists, or is it just urban legend?

Not sure if it's the same one you're talking about, but at a safety seminar up here (ANC) once they showed a cockpit video from an F-15 that just missed a 172. The clip only lasted a few seconds but the pilot said something to that effect. You couldn't even really make it out till they played it in slow motion it happend so fast.

Bet that was it. Wonder if anybody has it in a media file format.

Well, that is the Swiss Air Force flying Mirage aircraft in the alps. They just retired their Mirage 3. They currently fly about 34 F-18 and a handful of F-5 Tiger. They have no F-20. The Siwiss are specialist in low level flying around the Alps. You see them all the time if you ever happen to going skiing in Switzerland.

Cheers,
Marty
