Thanks for the correction. Cut and paste error Obviously the recency of experience for the PIC and the equipment and inspection rules apply for the aircraft. But you don't need a clearance OR a flight plan right? I guess my point is, unless someone can make a case for it, IFR flight in IMC in class G when not on a Flight Plan and without a clearance is just ASKING for a Darwin Award.MauleSkinner said:Technically, IMC in class G airspace still must be conducted under IFR...you just don't need a clearance.
