Got a question:
Lets say XYZ pilot is receiving ATC advisories in VFR conditions in class E airspace. The flight is above class B airspace and descending but still well above the class B. The controller issues an altitude for the VFR pilot to stop descent at 12,500 and says " Traffic 2 o clock, 10 miles, 2,000 ft below."
VFR pilot states " Traffic in sight, will maintain visual" And continues descent.
Can pilot be busted for not compliing? Even though its VFR airspace and the pilot isnt even required to be talking to the controller.
Thanks in advance.
