What are some of the common VDP formulas? Hat divided by 300?
I forget some of the other ones. Thanks in advance.

For timing, take your HAT and divide by 10. Subtract that from your time from FAF to MAP and you get VDP in time. Not an exact science but it works out pretty dang close.

Ex)
Time to MAP 1:30
HAT = 300

VDP = 1:00 past FAF

Other than that, HAT over 300 I've found to be the easiest/quickest

Time to MAP - 10% of ground speed.

Check out the "rules of thumb" link on the first page of the website. May find some good info there.

Yeah, trying to watch ESPN and surf Flightinfo at the same time. Start down at 2 miles for a 3 degree glideslope.
