Man, I hear that! What a shame that David Lee Roth and the Van Halen brothers can't seem to coexist together. The music they made was unique, powerful and timeless.

Recall the 80's movie with john cusack: "Better off Dead"....the pig burger...(everybody wants some) scene????

Oh great, now instead of CHQ vs. Mesa we get DLR vs TRR.

VH1 was great. VH2 was (is) great. I was a big fan of SH as a soloist and ever since the free concert in the West End at Dallas it's hard to knock 'em.

Party on!

Van Halen and Rush....

Somebody wake me up when we actually DO make it to this century...

mullets.

long live the 80's...(err..70's)

they are gone, let them be gone!!

oh yeah....and the 30 min drum solo??? yup...miss that one too....

cool.

Pity... Probably 3 of the most talented musicians ever in both bands (Geddy Lee, Neal Peart, Eddie V.H.) I would hardly call selling out stadiums/arenas "gone". Yes, their music was created in the 70's-80's, but I'd like to think that good music such as this transcends their respective time periods.

SK:cool:

"talented" is in the ears of the listener....and each generation has thier "talent".

Beatles, Stones,Leppelin,Eddie Van Halen, then Kurt Cobain, even (choke) Britney Spears and Beyonce....

now thats a pity...the sadder part is where the popular music is NOW. There is good music out there today, but its not about music its about marketing...Jay Z and his sneakers or P Diddy (WTF is that?) with his pimp juice or whatever...terrible $hit.

Rush and Van Halen just hit a nerve with guys in thier late 30's I imagine..brings them back to thier youth!...I personally just find it sad to see old rockers dust it off to throw a stadium tour to raise a few bucks...

but hey, get your baseball shirts and your high tops and go rock out dude...

:D

P.S. -- Led Z, Doors, Floyd....thats timeless talent....the only place RUSH was ever popular was at Embry Riddle Dork University....(insert drum solo now)

:D :D :D :D

Yes, very good...

<choking noises and vomiting> All of Nirvana's stuff sounds exactly the same. Boring. The last 2 are only good on MTV with the sound off.

I can't agree with you more.

Well, I'm 28. Most of the music these guys made was pretty much before my "time". Money? Do you really think these guys need the money? People are still buying their albums and the music is still on the radio. As much as some hate to admit, they are still quite popular. Now, where'd those early 90's queer-ass New Kids On The Block and Vanilla Ice cassettes go to? I remember... THE TRASH!

Would you settle for a tee shirt, jeans and Vans?

Pink Floyd is my #1 favorite out of any band in existance. And I completely agree with you on the other 2.

Vans and Cassette tapes...

SCARY.

:D :D :D

LOL! Not a likely combination, is it? Most of my music library (that's not an exaggeration; I have over 2000 CD's, LP's, and cassettes) is getting transferred to MP3.

I am 25 and can vouge that rock in my generation sucks. Music, for that matter, sucks. I've been waiting for this tour for a while. Just wish it was DLR instead of Faggy Haggar...

I hear ya! I did it all already, onto a server at home. now can set it up to send any music wanted to the wireless ready reciever -- is great for parties and all day listening...!!!!!

...who would have thought....

some say they like the sound of vinyl and cassettes....not me, Im digging the digital generation myself!!

taking 2000 of my favorite tunes with me on a 10 day trup to Asia is Alright with me!!

:D

VH

Finally..a little talent out there. Van Halen...Rush..and my favorite....YES...Twice for me... Vegas on the 21st,and Atlanta on the 28th(April) Looks to be a good summer!!
