Air tran used to be Valuejet, Valuejet bought a small airline named airtran and kept the name.

As far as dangerous? You're kidding right? As far as I know they have only had one crash in their history....unfortunatly it just got tons of bad press. Plus that crash was caused by a third party freight forwarder that mis labeled the containers that were shipped on the crash flight.

And no I do not fly for Airtran.

I smell FLAME!

The first post by clear and a million sounded very uneducated and asked questions implying that they didn't know anything about Airtran/Valujet, yet the last post implied lots of "knowledge" and research. If you already knew the so called "answer" to your question why'd you ask?
