Anybody fly for or know anything about Valley Air Express? According to the local paper, they are looking to start passenger service from Victorville CA (KVCV), to Long Beach and Burbank using Cessna Caravans. The paper says that the company is based in Sacramento California and currently provides service from Santa Rosa to Oakland.
As for the VCV service, it looks like the city of Victorville and the Federal government are going to subsidize it. I have my doubts as to how successful this venture can be, but perhaps it will open up a few pilot jobs in the area. Guess that depends if the company is expanding to do this service, or if it is just shifting airplanes around.
Too bad they aren't proposing service to LAX. Then I could maybe get a jumpseat to work...
