VA benifits

I was wondering if anyone out there is having or has had the same problems as I am experiancing with the VA. I submited for some benifits a few months ago for CFI training and exams and have not heard from them since. I've spoken to a claims advisor and the've told me to wait four months. Is this true that you have to wait that long to get partially reimbursed? If so that's a bunch of bull---t. Is That the service you get back after serving the country? sorry for b-tc-in, but thats just ridiculous. The IRS does a better job of getting you refunds.

Yes, thats how they treat you.

I havnt had the pleasure of applying for my benefits yet.

But, all I have heard is horror stories....

Unfortunately, that was my experience as well. You really need to be able to fund the whole thing out of pocket and wait for reimbursement.

And just remember, it's not that they don't like you or don't appreciate your service, they're just lousy administrators.

I never had any trouble with the VA. Did the school you are taking the courses from submit the request? It may take some time to get the course approved, but after that, if the monthly vouchers are submitted on time by the school, I usually got my check in a couple of weeks.
