Ladies and Gentlemen,

This is a bit of an old dog, but I need the straight scoop. It's a 2 parter:

1) Has anyone here gotten hired at FedEx having a degree from UVSC?

2) People that have finished at UVSC: I have heard an isolated report that UVSC is understaffed, and for lack of a better term, their customer service is rather poor. I have read a great many posts raving about UVSC, but 1 friend tells me to shy away from it. I need facts. I need an accredited degree that FedEx recognizes FAST and UVSC Bachelor of Science Aviation sounds like the ticket.

Thank you all in advance.

I don't know anything about UVSC, but if you are in the neighborhood, Rocky Mountain College (Billings, Mt) also has an aviation program you might look in to.....

Thank you Troy for taking the time to respond. At the moment I am dead set on UVSC until I can find someone who says it is NOT ok at FedEx.

For what it is worth, UVSC is a fully accredited University that Fedex should have no problem with. It is the fastest growing University in Utah and has something like 25000+ students.

I know Illinois Aviation Academy has a program with them, online core classes, and flight with IL Av Academy at DPA.

I'm doing the online UVSC thing. The Customer service does kind of suck until you figure out who you need to talk to about what problem your having. Just form a little list of who is helpful and keep there e-mail address and phone numbers handy. The only problems I have had is with registering and challenging classes. I think they are just experiencing growing pains. I have also done the ERAU online, there customer service was so bad and prices so outrageous that I ended up transferring to UVSC. I recommend UVSC.

Oh yeah, and for what it's worth, I finished my degree at UVSC through a combination of live and online classes. I found that I enjoyed and a learned a lot more from the live classes, but it was good to have the option to get some of those classes done online. I suppose I would recommend it, but there are certainly other ways that it could be done. Things worked out for me though.

Does UVSC fly Diamonds? If so, how are they to fly/instruct in? I am thinking about moving westward (from SD) and was wondering what they would be like to work for (as a CFI). RMC is also a place I was looking at.
