Gents, looking for feedback on using my Hilton points to take the family to Hawaii.

Specifically:

Experience with the Hilton Hawaiian Village® Beach Resort & Spa

Also, looking a rec. on a sailing tour (tour company), Diamond Head tour and a waterfall tour that the kids won't have to do too much walking (one is three). Also would Like some feedback on going to North Shore.

Thanks! CHL.

Hey Mod's, this moving threads stuff needs to stop. I posted my thread exactly under the forum I wanted it in, which is the "Fractional" forum.

Stop trying to turn FI into your own personal banana republic.

Hey Mods......

The NJA guys are automatically given Diamond status at Hilton Honors points program. This usually by invitation only. However, the NJA guys use Hilton so much they are granted the Diamond status.

The point? They know more if not most about using points and staying at Hilton properties....

The frac forum is the place for this type of inquiry!

Thanks for the support Rez, you are spot on.

I stay at the HHV about once a year on points and I really like it. If you have status they are very good about upgrading you. The last room that I had was a two bedroom suite with an incredible, unobstructed view of the ocean. If you have Gold or Diamond status they will give you a free continental breakfast but the full buffet costs an extra 9-10 bucks per person (tasty though).

Not sure about the sailing tour or waterfalls but Diamond Head you can walk all around on your own and I don't really think a tour would be worthwhile. A great afternoon but be aware there is a LOT of walking up and down stairs involved. Grab one of the Waikiki gold books from any streetcorner - they are filled with interesting stuff to do and some good deals can be found. Enjoy!
