A Special Supplement From Unbiased Facts on the Effects of The USAPA Special Pay
Program for The Negotiating Advisory Committee and Their Note Taker.

During recent testimony USAPA Communications Committee Chairman Scott Theuer
discussed USAPA’s FAQ’s. Theuer testified that “union officials would be paid no more than
what their seniority can hold,” however, without Member input the new democratic union lead
by the BPR changed the Officers and Key Committee Members’ pay structure.

One of the biggest benefactors of the new USAPA pay program is Note Taker, F/O Dean
Colello, who now has a 47.3% pay raise and whose monthly earnings rocketed from $7,225 to
$10,605! Not bad for a Note Taker who has a total of 9 days of negotiations scheduled for the
remainder of 2009 where note taking is required.

Here are the new pay figures for the USAPA Negotiating “Advisory” Committee members.
Once again, greed isn’t limited to just Corporations or Wall Street:

Paul DiOrio, New dues-funded USAPA Pay: $127,260+ (up 73.2%)
Dean Colello (The NAC Note Taker), New dues-funded USAPA Pay: $127,260+ (up 47.3%)

USAPA Pay, however, has not as significantly improved the fortunes of 2 other NAC
members.

Jeff Davis, New dues-funded USAPA Pay: $180,300+ (up 7.1%)
Mark Burdick, New dues-funded USAPA Pay: $156,840+ (up 8.2%)

Again, to fully appreciate these figures you must realize that USAPA has only 9 (Nine)
negotiating days scheduled with the Company for the remainder of 2009. The scheduled days
are:

August 17, 18 & 19 – Washington
September 22 & 23 – Washington
November 17 & 18 – Washington
December 15 & 16 – New York

And besides, what are the odds of the pilots even getting a new contract out of all of this any
time soon? After the Addington trial appeal of the DFR guilty verdict is filed with the Ninth
Circuit Court of Appeals, which USAPA Legal has not yet done, the average appellate process
is 17.4 months.

With a long appeal process ahead and little chance of a new contract anytime soon…the BPR
has given the NAC a tremendous pay increase while all other pilots live under their current
contract with no hope of pay and benefit increases for a very long time.

The following pages illustrate how these figures are reached. Graphics are included to provide
scale. Sample follows:

Next we’ll publish the figures for other “Full Time” USAPA ‘volunteers’.

So 20 years at USAir gets you reserve fo making 85 bucks an hour...is that correct?

besides the fact that calling someone an "S" word is one of the few rules we have at FI.com, too many pilots today throw that word around like they know what it means.... and most of them don't.

use it again, and suffer the ban.

there should be no special pay associated with volunteering at a union. That is a waste of dues $$$ and leads those involved with the union to focus more on maintaining their position than working for the benefit of the pilots as a whole. These guys should get the book and be forced to give back their ill gotten gain

You said "dues Funded" payscales??? Any ALPA carrier reps and negotiators I'm familiar with pays their salary while they do union business. The amount of hours allowed is spelled out in the contract. If USAPA doesn't have that, you REALLY got taken for a ride.
