HEY DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THE INTERVIEW IS LIKE? I READ SOMEWHERE THEY HAVE A MATH TEST, etc. ANYONE HAVE THE SCOOP? WHAT SHOULD I BE STUDING FOR.
ALSO SOUNDS LIKE THEY ARE HIRING FOR A POOL ONLY.
When do you think there next class will be?

Any help would be great!

Those are right on. Plus I wouldn't PM pilotyip for a gouge, since he's the one most likely to be interviewing you... ;)

Just be yourself and it will work out. Good luck!

Hi!

USA Jet ONLY interviews for a pool. Once in the pool, U may get called quickly for a class, or it may take a while. Basically, if U stay in the pool, u will get called for class at some point. Also, all new pilots are FOs on the Falcon. U can probably upgrade to FO on the -9 in a year or less. Falcon Capt is running about 2-3 years. -9 captain about 5-7.

There is an ATP type test, and a timed math test, that U can't study for. Study ATP type stuff for the other test.

If U want detailed info, let me know.

C U!

probably right..although if you send him a pm, simply state u want to fly till your 90 and 100k is way to much money to pay a pilot...he would love u!!!

I don't work at USAJ, but it seems to be a pretty good job. Randy was nice enough to call me on the phone and chat with me 3 or 4 months ago after I PMed him. If you want to live in the MI area it seems like it could be a a long term job if you want to stick it out and make cpt. It pays more than the regionals do long term.

Hi!

Actually, the more senior -9 capts base pay is already at about $100K. Last year the #1 guy made about $35K in Sep.

When guys turn 60 on the -9, they are able to move to the Falcon and keep flying.

U don't have to live in SE MI, but it's preferred. About 1/3 of the pilots commute.

Pays more than a regional long term? It depends. It pays a lot more than Skyway, Pinnacle, Mesa or TSA. It is less than Horizon, Comair.

Have a Nice Day!

Up kinda late Cliffy? Some more interesting DC-9 facts and figures. Average DC-9 Capt was at $95K last year, 1/3 of the Captains broke the $100K figure, and been with company an average of 8.5 years. DC-9 F/O's averaged $50K and has been with the company an average of 3.5 years. DC-9 pilots who lived in the YIP area were gone from home an average of 132 hours per month.

Pilotyip, congratulations on your upgrade from Asst. Statistician to Chief Statistician! I understand the pay is quite a bit better! Keep up the good work.
