Anybody know what the rate for a 5yr 50 RJ captain flown by a Mainline USAir pilot and/or where I can find it in writing so it's not from my uncle's cousin's sister's roomate who saw Ferris pass out at 31 flavors last night? Thanks in advance...

I don't think there is one answer for your question. It depends on what airline that 5 yr captain is flying for. Is it Mesa, Midway, CHQ, Mid Atlantic, etc.? Each airline has their own contract. Also, since it will take 5 years to get to the 5 year rate, todays answer could be different that what the captain will actually make in 5 years (more givebacks?).

I am a 14 year furloughed Usairways pilot and if I go to MDA (Mid Atlantic Airlines) I will get paid FIRST year captain pay of slightly under $50/hr. F/O pay at MDA is about $35/hr.

Shouldn't this thread be in the "Regional Section?" After all U is just a regional airline flying some mainline aircraft

You are so right. Those mainline guys still don't get it. If the had gotten on board with the whole RJ thing about seven years ago when times were good they wouldn't be in this stupid situation in the first place. You can't feed a mailnine operation with B1900's and Dash 8's. Once again, If you had the feed, you wouldn't have to bleed.

Anyway, MidAtlntic is a pipedream. Believe it when you see it.
