Second best fuel hedge… That’s great lingo what does it really mean. Our hedges aren’t even close to LUV’s. Yeah second best in this means we have hedges and no one else does or they really suck. Our hedging is worth about 100 million dollars and LUV’s are worth 5 Billion. Yeah were second best alright and our hedges are worth almost the exact same. We go into Bankruptcy with 470 million dollars in the bank is what I was told that’s not to far off if you do the math. And well BA GS and BT will need at least another 30 million for their golden parachutes. Maybe you will get off Reserve if you go to ANC and enjoy a line before this ship starts to sinks. Yeah I forgot we will be buying 787’s real soon maybe you should start studying the manual. But hey I sure hope you right!

Mea, you need to either stop drinking or start drinking, depending on what you're doing right now or you're going to die of anger and stress and not make it to 65.:beer:

Just turn off the APU and all your problems will go away.;)

Mea,

He's right, you mind as well relax. Unless you can get on with Southwest there's not much to do. I thought I would miss the airlines. I miss the good flying times and the people, but the sh!t outweighs the good by about 10 to 1. Best of luck to those that choose to stay and ride it out.

Don't those Alaska boys agree to anything?......for instance: when they agreed to be arbitrated a big pay cut.

Nobody wants to take a pay cut but they did to help keep a great airline flying. Alaska's product is superior to almost all of their peers and only equaled by a couple of others. Crews are always friendly and i've never been given attitude by an agent. Which Aeroflot-fashioned legacy do you fly for?

If you work for Alaska be VERY afraid. If you merge with usair your unit costs will double and they'll end up telling you they need to focus on the lucrative BUF-PHL type runs "because that's where the money is" and they'll shut down SEA and all your west coast routes (the "money losing" anchor) and furlough you out of seniority and then tell you how they saved you. Study the history of the PSA, Piedmont, and America West mergers. Delta knew; learn what they did to kill their little near-merger. Get ready to burn the house down if that's what it takes to prevent it.

usair = death

There is nothing to worry about. USAir management long departed and USAir is now in the capable hands of Cactus management. Alaska should have it so good.

Well, there you have it everyone!

Yeah...look how well it has worked out for the folks at AWA.

It may be Cactus managers, but its still 2/3 AAA pilots. 'Nuff said.

Good point.

Never send a lifeboat to a ship that has more passengers than you.
