Not to diminish or demean the intent of the thread, but as an observation, is the bottom year for furloughs at USAirways still in 1988 or '89? If so was he hired when he was 18 or 19?

Guess you didn't know there was a merger between US Airways and America West.
 
Ted was a Class Act. A very good person and he will be sorely missed. My sincere condolences to his family, wife and son.

We lost a good one.:(

I did, but I didn't realize the 'AWA side' was flying to Hawaii, I assumed it had been an old USAirways route....

I can see how you would think that. We announced the Hawaii flying just before the merger. The flying is done with AWA 757s.
 
Ted taught me how to fly. I knew him when he was a new, young instructor. He taught me a lot about flying and helped me get my Private Pilot License. He was a good guy. I was totally shocked to see the news about him. He always made flying fun.
