A fellow nav in my reserve squadron showed me an email a few days ago that had to do with offering a navigator bonus. The letter said it would be offered to a few fields that are critically short. I doubt the Guard/Reserve would see it. I think those of us within a few years of our "20" will probably laugh all the way out the door of the squadron, remembering the "great navigator purge" of the 1990's.

I'm flying tonight and will see if I can get ahold of the letter. He11, it's probably a hoax to get us po' navs excited.

I've seen the email, and I know the idea of a Nav bonus would never pass through to the point where it would reach the LES. The Air Force says it has enough Navs, but most of these are O-4 and above or new butter bars. We all know the amount of actual work done in these ranks is negligible. Oh well...
