Hey Wright... did you see the Discovery show they had on about the Caravan (a/c) vs. the Taho (suv), I didnt but a co-worker was telling me about it.. guess who won?
"my SUV cant fit in the economy parking spot...instead of parking it somewhere else id rather spend my money in lawsuits and scream and hollar till i get my way."
what is this guy...5?
"what do you mean we cant land there? its too short of a runway? heh...if you were a real pilot youd be able to land it there..."
this guy with the BBJ probably buys Ferraris with automatics....
"i gots a ferrari! dig me!"
the article clearly states he has a gulfstream that he had been previously using to go there with prior to buying the bbj (which he also still owns).
but that guy is an out right jacka$$, runway limits are runway limits, same as the '4 ton weight limit' signs you see on bridges, just cause some tool wants to drive his 50yard dumptruck across it doesn't mean he can....
I just recieved my converted 777 last week. I was pissed when I couldn't land it at Farmer Ted's Fly Inn (famous for their biscuits and gravy). I'm thinking on taking this one all the way to the Supreme Court, they should know better than to mess with someone with more money than brains.
What an @ss!!!! If he had that much money, why not get a Citation X on the side for the triop up there. It will get him there faster, on less fuel and meet the weight limit.
As far as teh Caravan being the SUV of the skies, just check out the ad for the Caravan in the newest issue of AOPA for the answer to that. Cool ad.

Why doesn't Mr. Tutor open his fat wallet and upgrade the airport for his 737 since he can afford it or at least pitch in? Or the airport manager can change a landing fee for anything over 12,500lbs? Just make sure anything over 100,000lbs is alot of money!!!

Actually,
They don't want to upgrade the airport, because, as the article says, if they let him land there, then they can't stop the airlines from using the place, and there goes the neighborhood.
These are factual issues, but it's being made into an emotional one," Tutor says. "I've had crank letters, phone calls, you name it. I'm the big, bad rich guy."
