Whats new at USA Jet, is business getting better for you guys? I've been sitting here in YIP for almost a week now and no flying yet.

So much business we can not handle anymore, looking to hire in April. It is still a great place to get that initial jet experience, above average starting pay $35K/yr DA-20F/O, and almost the highest pay of any air carrier operating airplanes under 100K MGTOW. A chance to move to the DC-9 F/O within one year, or DA-20 Captain in 3 years. Great training under 121, you are trained to be a member of a professional cockpit crew. A history of no company violations companies that run by the regs and has a safety record that is tops in its sector of the business. Maybe not career stops anymore wit hall the other jobs out there, but certaihnly a place to get the skills that allow you to move onto your next job. If interested go to climbto 350 or jsfirm and post a resume.

wow! 3 years to upgrade flying dogsh!t on-demand cargo in a falcon20. that's terrible. I dont care if usajet pays bette,r being on-call is lame and so is getting paged at 3am. especially for 3 years.

landlover do not give hope, hope is the one universal truth that belies all else in the face of insecurity and despair. Let the force be with you. With the growing worldwide pilot shortage violations will not be the career killer they one were. In fact some places may even think they add to your hirability (new word). Go to jsfirm.com, we will talk to you.

Hi!

You won't be a Falcon FO for 3 years waiting for upgrade.

1. The longest Falcon upgrade EVER in the history of USA Jet is 3.5 years. Most guys upgrade in about 2 years. 1 year is possible, and the shortest upgrade ever was about 1 week.

2. You can expect to go from Falcon FO (11 days off/month) to DC-9 FO (13 days off/month) within about the first year. The pay is somewhat higher on the -9.

3. You will probably be either permanent PAX or alternate PAX pilot. As a PAX pilot, you are on a 2 hour callout (when you're on reserve). Your schedule is set for 6 months while a PAX pilot. Most of your PAX trips you know the schedule ahead of time.

4. After being a -9 FO then you can bid for Falcon Capt when your seniority will hold it. You CAN stay on the Falcon waiting for Capt upgrade, but it's your choice, and not the best choice, because to bid for -9 Capt you need 500 PIC ME Jet AND 100 hours in the -9. So if you go as FO to the -9, you get your 100 -9 time, then you go to Falcon capt and get your 500 PIC Jet, then you can bid straight into -9 capt when you get there.

5. USA Jet used to hire straight into the -9. They don't do it now, but if they were forced to in the future they might again.

6. USA Jet doesn't hire Falcon street captains.

thsnks guys

pilotyip & atpcliff,

Hey guys I appreciate the good info. I am on contract to my company until September, we'll see what I want to do when it is up. USA Jet would work out for me, I like the idea of staying involved with freight, and being able to fly jets without taking much of a paycut. I can't work in an RJ for $18K/yr at this point. Any plans on getting some of the parked planes flying again?
