In an ongoing effort to ensure a continuing supply of qualified applicants and enhance pilot retention USA Jet raised pilot per-diem to $1.83/hr. It is believed this among the highest in the traditional entry-level job market. Another example of the impact of the growing worldwide pilot shortage and how companies are modifying their compensation in response to the pilot job market.

Thats two raises in 3 months. I like that ratio.

I wish this trend would catch on here! What was the old per diem pay? Just curious.

Cherry,
It is about a 30 cent raise per hr.

It was $1.58/hr since 1998, so it was a $.25 raise. But it is retro to 5-1-o7. Pilot will see it reflected in thier checks tommrow which covers May per-diem.
