Are you trying to figure out how to go there, or if you should? If it's the former, google is your friend. If the question is the latter, the answer is no.

Yep, want to go! Would stay with a "native" friend.

How did you meet this native friend? Internet? Fly her to Panama for 500 bucks (they will let her in) and hook up there. Do NOT travel to her backyard with your I-am-a-gringo shirt on, this is prob a set-up for robbery and/or extortion and/or worse.

FYI, I have personally done MANY RON's in South America, to include SKBO and surrounding area.

Thanks for the heads up. I've been watching locked up abroad.
Looking at a Paragliding trip. Ten days in Medellin.
He is a local in Medellin, yet flys in the states. I won't go if I didn't know the person.

Colombia (or Main Street USA for that matter) is not the kind of place to go on a blind date

Any advice?
Continental, AA, DL, Spirit have flights. Any others?
Cargo routes?

Continental will allow you to jumpseat if you airline have agreement with them.. you can list yourself with coair.com

AA. same thing!

Spirit same thing, just call the nonrev number and thats it.. oh yea, have to pay $50 to comeback to USA for taxes..

Cargo Routes.. not sure

Thanks for the help.
Ended up in Peru instead. Used CO for the trip down, Spirit/Southwest for the ride home.
