Does anyone know if they are hiring or have any plans to do so in the near future? Thanks!

They just had a bid reflecting the seasonal reduction of 2 aircraft...

Seems like they had a few guys split so there are no furloughs...

Maybe some of the USA 3K people will chime in....?

I heard we are furlouging 2 :(

I remember when I interviewed at USA 3000 and they told us they wouldn't ever get so big they would have to furlough. They went on to say they would always outsource some flying in the busy time so they wouldn't have to furlough and re-hire every year. What a lying pack of thieves.

Never ascribe to malice what is adequately explained by incompetence.

Translation: it may just be that they're dummies, not liars. Cold comfort, no doubt.

When I interviewed with AA they said they were going to 14,000 pilots and I would be Captain in 5 years. I was fuloughed 18 months later and am still waiting for that Captain upgrade 13 years later!!

When i interviewed at USAir in '89 they said we would be captains in 5 years. 15 years later we find ourselves out on the street. The only correct prediction they told us in the interview was what our schedule would be. They told us it would be 3 on and 4 off. We thought at the time that sounded pretty darn good. We just did not know they were talking about years !
