I have a question for any USA 3000 pilot. When you upgrade, do you keep your longevity pay, or do you go back to year one captain's pay?

Example: A pilot in his/her 4th year at the company upgrades, will he/she get paid at 4th year captain's pay or 1st year? I read the contract as the pilot would go to year one pay, which is different than everywhere else I've worked.

"Pilots will be paid and credited for flight time credit based on status and Company longevity (i.e., in-seat longevity) in accordance with the hourly rates below. In computing hours for pay purposes, the actual or the scheduled block time, whichever is greater, will be used."

Thanks for your help in setting me straight.

Yep, that is what happens.

Back to the beginning, year 1 captain pay.

I belive Ryan and Virgin america are the only others that return to 1st year pay on upgrade.
