Which fleets are newhires getting these days? What is likely through the end of the year - and which bases are likely?

The class that started last week was 6 E190 PHl and 8 A320 DCA but we are getting five more E190's so I would think future classes might be mostly PHL E190.

A few questions:
1. Pay during training?
2. Hotel during training?
3. Medical Insurance effective date?
4. CASS, how soon?
5. Non-Rev travel for family members?

1. Pay during training?
Monthly guarantee about $3000/month

2. Hotel during training?
Yes, company paid

3. Medical Insurance effective date?
Date of hire

4. CASS, how soon?
1st or 2nd day of class

5. Non-Rev travel for family members?
1st or 2nd day of class

1. Pay during training?

It's more than that, at least for the 190. IIRC it's something like 85 hours per month plus per diem.

Anyone else heard the rumor that Airways is asking pilots from certain regionals to bring in their fuel usage statistics to the interview?

According to the November bid that just came out....It leaves the open positions as this for new - hires to fill
44 open - PHL- E190
19 open- DCA-Airbus
9 open- CLT- Airbus
3 open- CLT - 737

This.

Most Junior E190 Captain is seniority number 3197. Most Junior F/O on property is seniority number 3466. That's only 269 numbers apart and there will be roughly 200 retirements in 2013...

How large are the new hire classes? What percent of people who interview get the job and how long does it take to find out?

The class that started last week got the call one week after they interviewed. That may not always happen that way though. I don't think it is important to know the percentage just be ready for interviewand do your best. Good luck.

How many qualified applications does US Airaways have on file? I will think they would have gone through most of them by now. I also heard window might open on August 1, 2012. Any truth to these rumors?

Last month I flew a trip with a guy who does the interviews and was also tasked with improving the on-line application. In cruise he was making pen changes to the print out of the last on-line app. He told me that he thought we would have to open the window soon as the "pool" of applications they had selected in the last open window was just about 100.

Thanks charlie2. When they open the window again are they going to flush all the old online applications again, like they have done in the past or will you be able to update and stay on file?
