US Airways leather jackets

noticed alot of Airways guys wearing leather jackets? is this a new policy?

I believe it was approved around June or so of 2003. US Air Express was the first to jump on board, and a lot of their pilots went to the leather. It took a couple of months for mainline to notice, but now they're aware of the policy change and can switch over too, I think.
