Thanks for the info on timeframe and what the latest classes got. I'll keep my eye on the window opening again.
True but you are forgetting that we have the crack AWA management team that we did't have during the past sucking...right?
The only stupid move they made was saving your bk ass.
My class in Feb. was 4-737, 6-190. Class behind us was at least 5-737. No Airbus for either class.
7 new hire pilots started Basic Indoc yesterday (Apr 2). Don't know what equipment they'll get though.
All 7 were put in the 737. Four in CLT and three in DCA.
Interesting since we are parking 12 737's this year.
They are super short for F.O.s on the 737 though. It is common in CLT for them to have no reserves available at the end of the day. A few of us got close to 90 hrs pay in March, and not by choice. I would much rather not fly.
I'm curious why you think it's going to suck here less? To me it seems like nothing will change for years, except for retirements starting again. I don't know that a merger will improve things either. We'll just be a bigger sucky airline, that flies our suckiness to more destinations.
Good luck and don't listen to Becket things are going to suck a little less here soon and much less than at United.
Trying to stay positive! Thanks.
We are at our min fleet and min utilization rate now and as much as our company president wants it in his "Kirby proposal" those are things we will never give up. So, if you are 30 years old and get hired here you will be an A320 captain at age 36 or 37 and a widebody captain in your early 40's. Not to "sucky" I believe.
