No, Ive never been and Ive heard less than hopeful things about the job fairs....What sucks is Im in the middle of a 4 day during that one, and based on what Ive heard, (maybe others can shed some light) going to a job fair might not really help your chances.....Hence, Im not convinced I should trip trade to make it.....Inputs?

Trip trade , go to the job fair it can only lead to positive contacts.... if nothing else it will get you real comfortable talking to HR people if you hit enough of the fairs.... tell em how bad you want to work for them.... they eat this stuff up. Not just US Airways and to be honest I don't know if it is really the key to the Airways lock, but it was the key to get me a Airtran interview and it got me an interview that really didn't want at Skybus. I went there just for the practice and got a job offer the next day..... (then again they were desperate for people at the time). I scored a point or two with Derinda at NetJets being able to meet her face to face and I have two HR email contacts at SWA because I hit a few open houses.
What I'm trying to say is that these job fairs are a great dress rehearsal for the interview. (the Airways interviewers gave me some compliments about how I handled myself during the interview.... I attribute this to the fact that I felt really comfortable sitting there chatting with them. They show initiative (the job fairs) and you can mention the fact that you've attended them in your correspondence down the road..... just clicking that website "button" that you heard more about the company, on your online application has to help.

Good luck!

I know for a fact that going to the job fair got me the interview. I only applied 2 days before the job fair, and got the call 3 weeks later!

Hey PDT guys/gal in class now,

How are they treating you? Did you get your AC/bases yet? Did they mention anything about hiring for the rest of the year?

Thank you

On my application status page, it changed to show "phone interview" as of the 25th. What does this mean for me? Am I one step closer to getting an interview? I never got any phone calls, so I am assuming that it just means that they are planning to call?
