Free for now. Parents/Spouse/Registard Guest are free as well, although I think there is going to be a yearly fee next year sometime when the AWA/U policies completly merge.

I heard parents will have to start paying $15 per segment.

My card is free.

Registered companion pays taxes

Carful how you phrase that. The taxes for your registered guest come out of your paycheck.:(

Travel on any US Airways flight in the US is free for parents, spouse, and eligible children. On America West you have to go to the US Airways ticket counter to get a paper ticket and it's only free for your spouse and kids. Your parents have to pay $15 each way plus taxes. Registered companion gets only the US Air benefits and the employee pays the taxes from their check.

US international you have to pay the taxes. Still pretty cheap though.
