Big talk for someone who has done an Allentown.PA overnight or 2 during the course of his career...

Allentown was actually a pretty fun layover, all what you make of it.....great little bar there by the campus in town...

Well I've never been to Allentown or Lubbock but I'd be willing to bet my left nut that I'd like Allentown better.

It is a little easier to make a bigger profit when your pilots are paid 50% less.

Funny how the shoe is on the other foot.

I remember 10 years ago, when the legacies were screaming there heads off about the same thing. But then the answer was "but were SW, we are different"

I would laugh if it wasn't so damn bad for all of us

Don't knock LBB too much. I was there on Christmas and the hotel gave us an awesome FREE buffet dinner. The folks at the hotel love us and take good care of us.

Plus it is walking distance to a great breakfast shop, Walmart, and even a Dairy Queen....what more could you want?

Allentown ain't that bad, had my share of good drinks with friends at that hole in the wall, and a pretty decent FREE breakfast to boot.... LBB don't sound that bad either, Dairy Queen & Walmart? SHEET that's an afternoon of entertainment right there.....wtf do you actually need on every overnight?
(the fine beer that I just had on my Belgium layover?) Airways gave me the free 737 type and a little time on it before they furloughed me Scope out RJ's, so feel free to just blow yerself if/when I get on at SWA......... AND just to torque off Caveman I'm signing all my post's too!

Dark Horse or did you really mean Dead Horse? Merger with AA? The way AA management is going now, AA will be a Dead Horse also in a few years.

Believe me, I'm no fan of AA...hosing the employees twice over in the past decade in favor of management (??!!!!?!),...but at least they haven't used GOVT protection to dump their employee pension plans...yet!! They may yet be forced to follow the paths of CAL, UAL, DAL, AAA, ...and whoever else has dumped their pension obligations on the American taxpayer....and thus hosing their employees pensions to the tune of pennies on the dollar.

QUOTE Captzaahlie: "had my share of good drinks with friends at that hole in the wall"

that "hole in the wall" is where I spent my 21st birthday (and many days/nights after) in college.

Just rolled down the hill from my fraternity house then drank until you had enough not to remember the walk back up the mountain.

If your really brave drink enough until visiting the Star of Bethlehem sounds like a good idea. Start by walking up the mountain until the second to last fraternity house on the right. Then cut thru the woods for about a half mile. If you wind up in the local channel 69 TV station lot you've gone too far. BTW I lost a set of Jarts somewhere up there so if you come across them let me know. I aslo think on of my fraternity brother's motorcycles is still lost in the wood around the star somewhere.

Maybe, but concise and to the point.

You can take a little of that for yourself little lady.

Umm gee thx, but I'd rather have discussion with my neighbors dog that likes

to bark a lot. Sure I always have to let him the last word but at least the

dialog is better......
