Its official, UPS has increased its planned hiring numbers from 100 to 300. The reasons cited was because of 12 new China routes, New Aircraft to be delivered and attrition. The goal is to have 15 -20 newhires on property every 20 - 25 days throughout 2005. There was no mention of seat assingments just numbers... Good luck and get your LOR's going...

Here is the official announcement from www.AirUPSers.com:

Feb. 10 -- UPS announced today that it plans to increase its hiring of new pilots in 2005, from 100, announced last year, to 300.

“UPS sees growth opportunities for our air business in the years ahead,” said Bob Lekites, vice president of UPS Airlines and international operations. “We want to ensure that we continue to run the most reliable and safest airline in support of that growth.” Click “Play Video” for more details in a streaming video from Chief Pilot J Barnes.
