UPS conflicting info.

I had some UPS pilots jumpseating out of SDF saying that UPS is getting to hire soon but when you talk to others they said no. Can anyone update us with the latest. UPS just went up in profit again for the 3rd qtr.

I talked with a UPS crew the other day and heard the same thing. Maybe 400 pilots next year or no hiring at all. I think it has to do with the contract. If they need 400 pilots they will have to start interviewing again since they only have 80 in the pool.

Spoke with a fairly senior UPS Capt friend the other day and he echoed the same, (evidently came from the union) not as high numbers as previosly posted but at least 100 starting in 04'.

I guess, i could safely say that no one knows exaclty when UPS will start hiring.
