Upgrade time at Southern?

How long does it take to make Captain at Southern? Do they hire Captains as new hires?

It depends on the individual (prior experience, system knowledge, commandability.....etc). We have had RJ guys go right into the left seat.

If your proformance is good in training, and there is a need for Captains they might offer it to you on sim 5. right now for a competent pilot with international experience less then 6 months. my 2 cents

At ups all you need to have is 2000 hrs of cessna 152 time and a past scab and a current managment then you will go straight to the left seat:laugh::laugh::laugh:
