If you take your ATP checkride at the same time you upgrade, is the checkride any different? Do you have to do any extra manuvers or anything like that?
 
wouldn't think so. depends on the check airman you're working with, i guess, but i assume a type ride hits the same things the atp does.. may have to do a circling approach for the atp portion, that may not be required for the type.
but, short answer, shouldn't be much different than what you'd expect in the type ride.
 
D328: If your getting to upgrade here, it's the same checkride as your FO ride plus the flapless landing. There is no longer the NDB stuff and I heard there is no more flying out of NY like we have all got used too. The manuevers are still required, but you'll get used to them in the box again.
