I started flying about 10 yrs ago or so.. and back then some of the airports I flew out of had codes like O36, which has since changed to a 3 letter code TCY,etc .. however the problem I have run into, is that when I'm asked about some of my X-C time they ask what O36 is and since it is a code no longer used I cant pull the information for these unknown airport codes to find out where this flight actually landed at and therefore can not answer these questions, except to explain the reason I dont know.

Is it possible to get this from a FSDO?

Actually O36 was a local airport near me.. it appears it was re-assigned in oklahoma.. now that would be one hell of a cross-country from california in a 172 :)

The problem I can see already is that these are re-assigned.. and that list of airports assigned new codes is to current.. I'm 99% sure O36 is now TCY.. as for the others I have no clue.. I know they were local to me at one time..

The main ones which are currently coming up as...

O36 Morris, Oklahoma, USA
O01 Hamburg, New York, USA
O38 Owasso, Oklahoma, USA

... are not airports I have flown to nor are they in california.
